Zenni Optical Review: 283621 and 124112
Back in January I was in the market for some new frames to serve as backups to my main pair. A family member of mine suggested I try Zenni Optical for both their price and enormous selection. She had dozens of pairs and was satisfied with their service and product. I don’t have a complicated prescription; it’s quite mild, but the ease of inputting my details was so nice. I ordered two frames though at these prices I could get five or six pair for the price I’d usually pay for one.
Shipping was fast and the frames came in plastic cases with a microfiber cloth in each. I ordered styles 283621, Black Cat Eye, and 124112, Clear Acetate Wayfarer, which as of this posting are both still available on the site. The prescription was accurate and I had no problems whatsoever with the fit. After ten months of fairly regular wear they still look damn good with no obvious scratches to the lenses or frames. The hinges are still working smoothly and I haven’t had to replace any screws.
I love the frames I have and would love the cat eye pair more if I paid closer attention to the frame width as I wish they were a little wider and a little thicker frame overall. I’m eyeing another pair that are closer to what I was going for but lose the cat eye shape:
The Final Word
Since it has been over two years since my last exam, I’ll have my vision checked to make sure my prescription hasn’t changed and that my eyes are still healthy before I buy another pair. Once I do I’d definitely buy from Zenni Optical again and maybe spring for prescription sunglasses too.
